Time for a NOHAD

You might have heard of a NOHAD, you might have not. Soooooooooooooooo, if you've never heard of it, it's pretty much just a way to show what your doing and a bit about your self, and a giant acronym: Notes Opinions Hopes Actions Dreams. Here's mine:

Notes- I finally finished the book that I recommended in my other post, A Dog's Purpose, and it was A-MAZ-ING!!! The ending was both perfect and sad, just how I like it!

Opinions- My first opinion is that I TOTALLY disagree with the SOPA bill and I think it's just plain stupid. And if this bill would pass, the government would have authority to shut down our blogs, YouTube, Wikipedia, Pinterest (!), and many others. To sign the official petition, click here.

My second opinion (which is totally off subject with the first) is that I would prefer real paper books over Kindles and Nooks ANY DAY. True, the Kindle and Nook and stuff are a lot easier to carry around, and sure, you could say they are helping the earth by not using paper and all, but there's just something about turning each page in suspense to see what new event is going to happen on the next that just makes me want to keep reading. And on those cold nights, when you curl up next to the fire with a book that's been calling you all day, it's just not the same with a Nook or a Kindle. But that's okay to all you E-Readers, I don't mind. As long as you're enjoying a good book, I'm in!

Hopes- My biggest hope, is that I can accomplish this:

I found it while on Pinterest and it intrigued me. I am going to try this in April, because April seems like just a "feel-good" season. ( My favorite month actually. It's something about the rainy days methinks...) If you would like to join me, go right ahead! And if you do, please comment about it below, and maybe add which month you're planning on doing it in!

And another hope is for me to go and see the Hunger Games movie on opening day! Wish me luck cause it's gonna be busy!

Actions- Currently, I am trying to curl my hair and will try and get a few photos out when I'm done. Oh, and I just did this really cool thing with my nails where after painting them a white or beige, you soak them in alcohol and put a strip of newspaper on it, then peel it off slowly...it's supposed to look like this: Pinned Image
Also, I am thinking of what I am going to post about next...recipe post...photo shoot...giveaway...my ramblings...pinterest...a poem...If you guys have any ideas, comment below saying so!

Dreams- My biggest dream, that I think about every day, is to make a difference in the world. Maybe it will be just me or my town, or maybe the whole state, or country. Whatever it is, I wan't to make a hand print on the paper, to leave a mark, and not be forgotten.

Another dream is to try and become a better photographer. And one of my New Year's resolutions was that by 2013, I will improve at my photography.

And my final dream, is that someday, the earth will not sink in pollution, that it will rise above with our help. Our help. All we need is to stop carlessly walking around and throwing our garbage this way and that. It's our Earth, and our only one.

Now go and try your own NOHAD post! And if you do, comment below with a link!

  2. Hey Kaden, you have a wonderful blog! I put it on my favorites. I am reading a few blogs, mainly about cooking. My favorites are from different parts in the United States. One isnin in Florida, and she mentioned that strawberries are in season. Who knew? We have them in late June (in think WI is earlier? I have been there with Grandma before to make Jam.). Another is in Alaska, I started reading it cause I liked the way she wrote about her garden.... Recently all her posts say "it has been -30 forever". Keep on writing and taking pictures, xo, cousin Heidi
P.S. I am reading Little House in the Big Woods to my class... Reminds me of you all... I have the same kids for a few years so i think we can get through the series (and it is in paperback, actually my childhood copy)...
