I didn't even know there was a cookie or ninja day......WELP.

Anywho, its FINALLY December! Though, at least where I live, it doesn't at all feel like it. The past two days it was 55 degrees and sunny....global warming, I tell ya. And I was just thinking that where I live, we haven't had a white Christmas in at least two years! And my favorite season is winter so y'alls can imagine how I'm feeling at the moment without an inch of snow... But last year it was pretty awesome because it snowed on my birthday, and it was the first legitimate snow of the year! It was pretty nifty.... Sorry, I've just realized this is just all my rambling thoughts. Wellllllll....Happy December!!!!

Tis a Fine Saturday

Today, it snowed. Fluffy white flakes. And then I made some paper snow. And I thought how March sorta betrayed  us there with the last-minute snow and all...

But in then I ended up just watching each flake slowly dance on. 

Then a poem came to mind...

You know you want to hear it.

Come on. 

You know you do

I bet you're screaming inside right now.

Fine.

Here is a snowy day poem for y'all.

Our Dance

We spill slowly

From the smoky grey sky,

Like little ballerinas

With our own unique dance.

We fall so gracefully,

So quietly,

So peacefully.

We are shining stars

Woefully dropping from a winter sky.

But all dances have to come to an end,

And so does ours.

But before it does

We do one last twirl

And one last whirl

Before we end our little performance.

We then fall silently

Onto the ground

 Coating it in a soft white blanket,

As if tucking in

A sleepy earth.

A Winter Photo Shoot

I woke up. And saw it was snowing. Snow. My worst enemy (when it comes to photography :] ). So before I even quite knew what I was doing, I hopped out of my bed, threw on some slippers, and dashed outside.

I looked, as so. 

Next I was snapping pictures of everything in view:

 Including a pot :]

Then, exhausted, I came inside and took the most off-subject picture I could:

Me very green eye.

I conquered you snow, so take that, HA! So now we have a fresh inch of powder, perfect for packing into snowballs and forts! Sorry, I have to go, the snow is calling me! (^_^)

A New Beginning

Happy 2012 everyone! Sorry that this post is a bit late, we've been having some things done to our computer... It was snowing here in Wisconsin (a rare sight, I know!) on this new year's day so I was in the mood for some snow-tinted photos.

I took a picture of the somewhat-covered-in-snow grass in my front yard.

 This doesn't really have any snow in it but I just liked the colors.

 There were a few pretty grasses that I HAD to take a picture of. My favorite is the one above.

We have some pretty lights in our house so they were calling me! ;)

What a Wonderful Present

Today I am twelve. A cold, wistful, December birthday, I know but this one was extra special. I got the most wonderful present a girl like me could wish for. Snow. It snowed on my birthday. If you were ever to know me personally, you would know I am madly in love with snow. To me, just a week without snow in the winter time is like a year without rain. So today, when I woke up to a glistening view outside my window, that put a grin on my face. Especially since there had been no snow in, lets think back...A MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!! So in the spirit of snow I decided to attach myself to my camera and take a few SOOC shots of my Christmas decor and some wonderful gifts my friends gave me.

 At my house we have a little Christmas Village where we have all of these little figurines and shops so I decided that they would make wonderful photos! Above is some little carolers!

 There's the ice man and his horse! I tried focusing on the words, what do you think?

 This one is my all-time favorite!! Oh, I just love making snowmen!

 I got a shot of a snowy little tree we had put up in our village.

 I love the little dog!

 We have this super cute little ice skating rink in our Christmas Village where the little ice skater spins around the "ice". I took this pic so it looks like the two are waving at each other!

 I got some fun Santa socks!

 These were my favorite of the many pairs of new earrings. (my friends surprised me by all giving me earrings and letting me know that I was going to get my ears pierced! Eeep!)

I got this fun new book from one of my good friends. I will be using this a lot!!

 I got a wonderful little "K" where I could hang necklaces and my new earrings.

And finally I got a really cute new wallet from another one of my good friends. Love the Koala!!
